Defending Defense

Update: The first Defending Defense project briefing is now available.

This Thursday at noon, AEI, the Heritage Foundation, and the Foreign Policy Initiative will host an event at the Capitol Visitors Center to mark the launch of our joint Defending Defense Project. The project represents an effort to promote a sound understanding of the U.S. defense budget and the resource requirements necessary to sustain America’s preeminent military position in a dangerous world. At Thursday’s event, we will unveil the first joint product associated with the project: a brief report designed to separate myth from fact in the current defense spending debate.
